Refugee influx

After Paris, there is no legitimate reason for these people to be welcomed into any country but the one they came from originally. It is past time to close the channels being used to bring this trojan horse into the nation.

There are numerous websites out there that track the news and even the actual movement of these people, and the organizations that are being used to funnel them into the US. I strongly recommend that you find out which of the organizations doing this are present in your area. Learn the names of the *local* managers of the branches in your area, and put direct, personal pressure on them to stop complying with this act of destruction. Trying to pressure the regional or national levels of these groups will go nowhere because they just don’t care about you and your problems, it’s impersonal to them. But if you focus on the locals, you can *make* it personal.

That’s the first step. And it shouldn’t just be you. Network with other Patriots in your area, and through them reach out to established community leaders of all stripes. Be able to articulate how this influx will hurt not only community as a whole, but the regular people in their bailiwick directly as well, through lost job opportunities, reductions in services (more mouths means less for each), and increased danger.

The second step is to make it personal for the refugees too. There is no legitimate reason for them to come, not after Paris. Any women and children involved in this migration should be viewed as camouflage only, not as genuine refugees. Muslim women are just as willing as men to sacrifice themselves and their children if they think they can take out a kuffar like you or me when they go. So, make them aware that they are being watched, are not tolerated, and are not welcome. Don’t let them get established without some kind of subtle or overt message that they would be better off going away.

Lastly, get your affairs in order. Those of you who don’t have anyone immediately depending on you can take the more overt paths. Those with potentials for leverage against them can find more surreptitious ways to make these “refugees” unwelcome. Get supplies laid up against disruptions of services in your community. Get yourself a means of comms, be it FRS/GMRS, MURS, a CB, or go all-out and get your ham ticket. Even a “Technician” license will give you access to the 2m radio band, which ought to be enough to let you communicate at least within your general area. The website hamstudy.org is a great study guide, and will put the knowledge you need into your head quickly. Get yourself a means of defending yourself and those around you. You don’t really need a tacticool battle rifle; even a used 12ga pump shotgun can be a devastating weapon if used properly, and you can get one of those for under $300. Lastly, get your head in the right place. Read Max Velocity’s and Matt Bracken’s books. Learn how to think and move both tactically and strategically. It’s going to take all of us to push this invasion into the sea, but it’s got to be done if there is to be anything left for those of us who still value Freedom.

Perspectives

I just spent some four hours driving through the Ozarks. I was struck, as I usually am, by just how much of a nightmare it would be to try to “pacify” this region, and how glad I am that I decided to move here. I won’t deny that being here does make it a bit harder to enjoy some of the finer pleasures of urban life (yes, there are a few). However, what made the strongest impression on me today was how a slight change of perspective can affect the way one views things. For example, it is easy to view the rural Ozarks as being “boring”; that there’s “nothing out there”, and bemoan the long stretches of road ornamented with little more than the occasional deceased armadillo. But just a slight shift in one’s viewpoint, and those long stretches of “nothing” become the walls, moats, and other barricades of an enormous fortress, guarding one’s loved ones from hordes of “The Diversity”, to say nothing of dismounted troops.

In another life, I help run a “prepper” website (no, not going to link it; if you really want to know, email me). Living here serves that purpose too, since I really do plan to put in gardens, raise (small) livestock, and generally go “off-grid”. And that’s another layer of defense. Even the Walmarts in the smaller backwaters have their own contingent of EBT zombies. When the Music Stops, they’ll get looted just like the Supercenters out in the Suburbs. So in addition to your firearms and ammunition, radios, CBT training, and other tacticool stuff, do you have the means to keep yourself more or less fed, watered, and otherwise sustained during the initial dislocation? By all means, put aside some MREs, some freeze-dried foods, and maybe some canned goods (though those can be tough to shift if you suddenly have to relocate). But also consider the slightly longer term. You can’t live on MREs forever (a week or two is probably about all you ought to try for unless you have a BIG stock of laxatives too).

Look at your preparations with a different perspective now and then; just so you don’t get too focused on the tasks and forget the overall goal.

Stay alive long enough.

The Ground of Intersecting Highways

I know I promised this more than a few days ago.

As they say, Life is what happens when you make other plans.

Anyway, this is a reconstruction of a presentation by the same name, from the North Carolina PatCon, because I didn’t make any notes from it, and the presentation was extemporaneous:

“Ground that forms the key to three contiguous states, so that he who occupies it first has most of the empire at his command, is ground of intersecting highways.”

To begin, a bit of background. India is a country of competing politics. Not only is there the perennial contention between Hindus and Muslims, and the always-energetic internal election politics, but India is suffering from an occupying force. There is a long-extant communist insurgency infesting some 6-8 Eastern states in the country. It was launched by Mao, and indeed is usually called the Maoist insurgency, but sometimes is also referred to as the Naxal insurgency. Early on, it had some direct support from China, but eventually became self-sustaining. There are something like 30,000 insurgents in this movement. Most are armed with little more than melee weapons, and occasionally homemade firearms. There are a few elite cadres that rate weapons like ancient Kalashnikovs, but such weapons are relatively rare. Despite this primitive equipment, the Maoists are able to hold off the well-equipped and numerous Indian internal security forces, which are sometimes supplemented by the Indian Army.

These Maoists control the majority of the Eastern states of India, particularly outside the cities. In one state, for example, all but 6 districts are under their control. In the districts where they hold sway, unarmed politicians and civil servants are often prime targets and rarely venture out, if they even dare to live in those areas. The insurgents’ weapons against the bureaucrats are often primitive roadside bombs, and they usually manage to bag at least one or two each time they set one off. The end result of this is that the Maoist groups are effectively the government in every area they are active, because the legitimate government doesn’t dare challenge them.

In recent years, the number of insurgents has been dropping, though slowly. This is due more to the gradual improvement of the living conditions of ordinary Indians, rather than any effort by the government. Despite this, the government does still try to maintain the appearance of control over the Maoist areas and the insurgency in general. The prime method of demonstration is the so-called “fake encounter” where government forces either outright attack innocent villagers claiming that the village is an insurgent stronghold, or, in the event that they are able to actually corner some small group of insurgents, the government forces force the situation, sometimes even having someone open fire on them so they can claim the insurgents fired first. These encounters, and indeed the majority of anti-insurgent operations, barely nibble at the fringes of the movement, and are just as likely (if not more so) to provoke the insurgents into redoubling their efforts as they are to demoralize the insurgents. Such “fake encounters” are frequently, and often easily, exposed, either by the Maoists or by citizens who witnessed the whole event. This has the net effect of diminishing the legitimacy of the Indian government, though there is not always a corresponding boost to the insurgents.

The key takeaway for patriots and IIIpers in the US today is the inability of the government to successfully challenge an internal insurgency, The Naxalites are holding off the Indian government with a few ancient Kalashnikovs, some bags of fertilizer, and handmade firearms. Granted there are differences between their situation and that of the US. Here, the government has more tools at its disposal, including things like drones and FLIR, as well as greater discipline and virtually unlimited supplies of cash and manpower. Patriots here do not enjoy the terrain advantage the Naxalites do. The jungles of India are far more impenetrable than the upland hardwood forests of, say, New York. Even the denser forests and swamplands of the Deep South offer little better concealment. However, US patriots have far better tools and weapons at their disposal as well, and are often far better trained. Many of the Naxals are illiterate peasants, while many US patriots are experienced military combat veterans.

We know the government is scared. The MIAC report and other statements about “domestic terrorists” and “right wing extremists” more than bear that out. The massive overreaction by LE to the events in Boston, Dorner, Rudolph, and so many others just provides further evidence that the government can barely handle unstable lunatics, to say nothing of, say, a unit of trained patriots on a planned and rehearsed mission.

If there is an internal uprising here in the US, with organized bands (even small ones) of patriots putting pressure on the LE element, the government might get a few small wins here and there, but they will quickly be overwhelmed.

I’m going to depart slightly here from the PatCon presentation to note something: I am reminded of a passage from Matt Bracken’s “When The Music Stops”, where he mentions the ease with which barely-organized urban riots grind down LE (both city and federal). Imagine if you will, instead of several hundred mostly-selfish MUYs trying to loot televisions and terrorize suburban whites in downtown, a company-sized (and military-disciplined) unit of patriots carrying out missions out beyond the suburbs, where SWAT units and armories are thin on the ground.

With the Great Western Redoubt and the twin labyrinths of the Ozark and Appalachian highlands, patriots have many relatively-secure regions from which to establish their own “grounds of intersecting highways”. The Western Redoubt controls many of the Northern passes that allow transportation to the West Coast, as well as being within striking distance of one of the largest ports on that coast. The Ozarks hold the (current) most-travelled East-West Interstate highway (particularly for truck freight), I-40, and are close to the central North-South artery of I-35, as well as one of the largest distribution centers in the nation. It also provides easy access to the network of rivers that moves goods in and out of the Heartland, and is relatively close to the great ports of Houston and New Orleans. The Appalachian freeholds will enable control over the Eastern end of I-40, as well as the great North-South coastal road, I-95, and the Eastern ends of several big navigable rivers like the Ohio.

Those are some important Grounds of Intersecting Highways if I ever heard of any.

Light Blogging

Sorry for the utter lack of content; life got complicated for a few days, and writing here isn’t a strong enough habit yet that I drop everything to sit down and type. I’ll have a long post up later today based on a useful presentation from the North Carolina PatCon.

Some thoughts in the days before the celebration of a Nation Lost

I feel more pressingly than ever the need for a safe refuge. A now obviously rogue government continues to undermine every precept of Liberty that shows any sign of being relevant. The general public continues to willfully ignore anything resembling uncomfortable knowledge.

…………………

As storied as the flag of the United States of America is, I begin to ponder whether or not it has become irredeemably tied to the failed nation that now stands where the Greatest Nation on Earth once did. Given the absolute revulsion with which the occupation views the Battle Flag of the Confederacy, and the prevailing misunderstanding that it was a national symbol, maybe it is time to put the truth to those words, and adopt the Battle Flag as the standard of the new Free America.

……………………

Too, I wonder just how much longer the “just leave me alone” segment of the public will allow the regime to piss in its face. The indignities it has already visited on conservative freedom lovers are far beyond what would have had contemporaries of Sam Adams breaking out the Manila and scouting out suitable trees.

……………………..

Read up on your Mosby, train, plan, learn,  look to the hills, and most importantly, get ready for the now virtually inevitable fight.

Where is your line

Those Who Would Be Our Masters continue to dismantle everything good about Western civilization, making new inroads on a daily basis. They are waging war on What Works, on behalf of the never-ending list of “hey, I’ve got an idea” faculty-lounge bull session products.

And every day that no one stands up and says “stop, what you’re doing is wrong”, they get a little more of what they want. So far, this war they’re waging is one-sided.

In other words, they’re winning.

And as long as they’re winning, they have no need to do anything differently than they do now. No need to attempt mass no-knock raids on “eeevuull conservatives”, no need for “Teh Campz”, no need for an Enabling Act or a Kristallnacht or a Reichstag Fire. Were they to meet any kind of genuine resistance, they might still get what they want, but it would likely cost them their legitimacy, and there’d be a good chance that any future “victories” would be hard-won if they were won at all.

So when are you going to stop just letting them win?

On Training, not for you but for those you protect

Plenty of other blogs of this nature emphasize training. Mainly, though, they talk about your training: learn SUT, learn CQB, learn this learn that. But it’s always you. However, not all of you are “lone wolves”. Some of you have others to think about.

This came up in the Roundtable session at the North Carolina PatCon: In the early stages, at least, of a major societal dislocation, when you are most likely to need all those other kinds of training, you’re also likely going to need to move your personal noncombatant contingent out of the line of fire and/or to a safe place. Do they know how to handle themselves in a fluid free-fire environment? What if one of them is a toddler? How do you impress on a toddler the need for noise discipline, or of remaining motionless? Since those are rhetorical questions, how do you, the leader of your merry band, handle movement with someone like that?

Something to think about.

Welcome

I’m glad you’re here. I’m going to get right to it. To paraphrase some well-known poetry, the Center isn’t holding. The more voices there are that can speak against the unravelling of the Nation, the better, sez me. We’ve got the highest court in the land essentially saying that a law says what they say it says, not what might actually be written on the page. We have a perpetually-offended segment of the public that insists on forcing their viewpoint on the rest of us, and deleting important historical symbols and cultural elements in the process. We have an Executive administration that is openly contradicting itself while inflicting all kinds of new and egregious impositions on the citizenry.

The list can go on for hours. As so many others in the III blogosphere say, a fight is coming, and we had best be prepared to play an active part. I’m going to try to focus on several areas of preparation/training, while pointing you at better sources for the areas I can’t adequately speak to, and occasionally I’ll inflict my opinion on you regarding some outrage or other.
